ASSISTANT CENTER DIRECTOR Full Time RSTN, Reston, VA, US Requisition ID: 1059 Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually Reggio’s Treehouse is seeking an Assistant Center Director to join our leadership team at the Reston, VA location. We are looking for a dedicated early childhood education leader who is passionate about working with young children and their families. The ideal candidate will possess high integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and a vision for excellence. The Assistant Center Director will support the overall operations of the childcare facility, ensuring compliance with state and local laws, licensing requirements, and company policies to provide an exceptional experience for staff, children, and parents. This role is crucial in welcoming families and children, fostering outstanding care and service, and building strong parent relationships. To qualify as an Assistant Center Director , candidates must adhere to all state requirements, specifically those set by the Virginia Department of Education. They can meet the criteria through various educational pathways in child-related fields, including holding a graduate degree, an endorsement, or a bachelor's degree. Alternatively, candidates may possess 48 semester hours with at least 12 in a child-related field or 72 quarter hours with at least 18 in a child-related field. Additionally, two years of programmatic experience, with one year in a supervisory role, along with other advanced educational qualifications, are required. Key responsibilities include: assisting the Director in daily operations, managing schedules and staff assignments, ensuring compliance with childcare licensing regulations, maintaining the school and grounds, promoting the program’s philosophy, covering classrooms to maintain ratio and compliance, as needed, and representing the school at community events. The candidate must have strong organizational, communication, leadership, and supervisory skills, familiarity with NAEYC accreditation standards, and the ability to lead educators in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of managing center financial duties and operating technical equipment.
