Maintenance Technician Location: USA, Camden, SC.Position: CAM - Maintenance Tech. Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in manufacturing machinery and equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and plant facilities. Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment as required. Detect faulty operations and defective materials, reporting issues and unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate concerns. Maintain electronic records of all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Electrical and mechanical aptitude with ability to understand basic electrical and mechanical concepts. Knowledge of safe shop operation practices. Positive work ethic and willingness to learn and meet expectations of various maintenance assignments. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Flexible work hours and on‑call availability for emergencies. Dependability with good attendance and punctuality. Valid driver’s license. Certified Journeyman with 2+ years of experience in Electrical or Mechanical trade, or associate’s degree with 2+ years of current hands‑on experience, or 4+ years in industrial maintenance trades. Ability to operate motorized equipment such as scissor lift, boom lift, or forklift. Proficiency with powered, hand, and vibratory tools. Experience with 480V, 220V, 120V, and low‑voltage DC electrical controls/systems. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in a trade above and ability to perform at least two complementary skills. Prior experience in troubleshooting and problem solving in manufacturing or industrial environments. Knowledge of robotics and programming. Experience with electrical diagrams: PLC logic, process flow diagrams, instrument flow diagrams, or P&ID drawings. Physical Working Conditions Wear safety attire or proper PPE daily. Work indoors, often in non‑temperature‑controlled areas. Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Potential exposure to hazardous equipment and contaminants.
