We are seeking an Assistant Commodity Manager, Emergency Response to join our International Projects team in Unity State, South Sudan . Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Assistant Commodity Manager ,you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Lead the full commodity supply chain forecast needs, coordinate procurement and replenishment, and track stock from source to final beneficiary distribution. Direct warehouse operations to ensure proper receiving, storage, issuance, security, inventory control, and apply FEFO/FIFO principles with accurate reconciliations. Supervise emergency commodity distributions target beneficiaries, follow Sphere Standards and SOPs, and maintain precise documentation and reconciliation of each distribution. Prepare timely, audit-ready reports generate stock, pipeline, and distribution summaries that meet donor, internal, and humanitarian compliance requirements. Partner across teams and mentor staff work closely with logistics, procurement, program, finance, suppliers, and external partners; train and guide warehouse personnel, and spend a small portion of time engaging with beneficiaries to promote and safeguard their welfare in line with our Christian values. Other duties as assigned. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is an added advantage. The candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or commodity management, preferably in humanitarian emergency response or fragile contexts. Experience managing large-scale commodity pipelines, emergency distributions, and warehouse operations is required. Experience in emergency response logistics and distributions. Prior experience with INGOs, faith-based organizations, or UN agencies is highly desirable, and experience in South Sudan or similar humanitarian contexts is an added advantage; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong supply chain and commodity management skills Warehouse and inventory control expertise Experience in emergency response logistics and distributions Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
