Prep Cook

JF Restaurants is looking for Prep Cooks with experience and help us deliver exceptional food with every plate. The North Fork Table & Inn is nestled in between some of the areas greatest farms and wineries. Southold offers a great opportunity to get out of the city for the summer and enjoy vast outdoor spaces with a handful of beaches near by.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning food items.
- Assist in basic cooking tasks such as preparing sauces, dressings, and marinades.
- Label and store food prep properly to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, equipment, and storage.
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience on the line in a professional kitchen
Experience working multiple stations
Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
A positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
Punctual, dependable, and collaborative
- Must be able to maintain a schedule that is flexible to the business demands
Please Note: North Fork Table & Inn is located in Southold, Long Island. Commuting to the restaurant is required.
