Job Opportunity: Neonatologist

NORTON CHILDREN'S NEONATOLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School Of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children's Medical Group, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible and fellowship-trained neonatologist. The practice is one of the largest neonatology groups in the country, with more than 30 neonatologists, as well as neonatal nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, pediatric hospitalists and other providers skilled at caring for newborns and babies with special conditions.

Through various partnerships, outreach services also are provided at several Level II and Level III NICUs throughout the region. This position is located in Hardin, KY, serving a licensed, Level II neonatal intensive care unit with 6 beds. More than 1,600 babies are born each year and on average, babies stay for nearly 4 days.

About The Position:

• The physician will have access to a network of providers and hospitals that offer all pediatric subspecialties and advanced technical capabilities, including pediatric surgery, cardiovascular surgery, high-frequency ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, neurally assisted ventilation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
• Several multidisciplinary clinics are in development in the areas of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, extremely low birth weight, congenital diaphragmatic hernia and more.

• The preferred candidate will have completed an accredited perinatal-neonatal fellowship.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate Degree Medicine
• One of: DO or MD
