Paraprofessional Student Support (Special Education)

Job Summary:
Grade Point Resources is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivatedDay to Day SubstituteParaprofessionalsto provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities in the classroom setting. This position plays a vital role in helping students access their education and develop independence by supporting instructional, behavioral, and daily living needs under the guidance of certified teachers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provideindividualized supportto students with disabilities within the classroom environment
• Implement educational activities and behavior strategies as directed by the classroom teacher
• Supervise and assist students in completing academic tasks aligned with theirIndividualized Education Program (IEP)
• Accurately observe andrecord student datato support progress monitoring and instructional decisions
• Assist students withactivities of daily living, as needed
• Foster apositive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong ability to build rapport and work effectively with children
• Willingness to learn and implement instructional and behavioral management strategies
• Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated to help children succeed
• Must have or be willing to obtain:
  • PA Criminal Background Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • TB test

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least6 months of experience working with children with special needs
• Ability to maintain amoderate to high level of physical activity
• Comfortable and willing to assist students withpersonal care tasks
