Patient Access RepWe're looking for Patient Access Reps who are excited to support patients throughout the registration and admission process. In this role, you'll perform specialized clerical duties related to registration for outpatient testing, pre-admission, and full admission of patients from the Emergency Room, Outpatient Departments, and hospital admissions. You'll also notify insurance companies of admissions, obtain pre-authorizations for outpatient testing as needed, and complete tasks assigned by the Department Manager and Department Assistant Manager.We value professionalism, sound judgment, clear communication, and teamwork, and we're excited to welcome teammates who bring these strengths to our team.Key responsibilities include:Perform specialized clerical duties related to patient registration.Process registration for outpatient testing, pre-admissions, and full hospital admissions.Support admissions from the Emergency Room and Outpatient Departments.Notify insurance companies of patient admissions.Obtain pre-authorizations for outpatient testing as needed.Learn to operate the hospital telephone system to relay incoming, outgoing, interoffice, and interdepartmental calls and call hospital codes when relieving the hospital operator.Complete tasks assigned by the Department Manager and Department Assistant Manager.This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.Qualifications include:High school graduate or equivalent preferred.Ability to read, understand, write, and communicate in English.Knowledge of basic clerical skills and PC Windows software.Maintain 95% or greater on monthly audits after three months.Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.Maintain appropriate standards of behavior and conduct while demonstrating maturity and the capability for careful judgment and critical decision-making.Maintain professionalism and demonstrate common courtesy.Work well with coworkers and other departments.Ability to learn the hospital telephone system, including relaying calls and calling hospital codes when relieving the hospital operator.Benefits you'll enjoy include:Medical, Dental, Vision403B with Employer MatchLife InsuranceFlex Spending – Health Care & Dependent CareEmployee Assistance ProgramGym Membership ReimbursementSick and Vacation TimeRRH Earn-To-Learn ProgramWelcome to RRH, a non-profit, DNV-accredited, full-service hospital and integrated healthcare system serving our region across a 38-acre campus.
