The primary purpose of this position, UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR, NK-0303-2, is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs. This is an acquisition demonstration project position NK-2 equivalent to a GS-5 to GS-7 Responsibilities Directly assist the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Serve as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Serve as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues. Assist in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04/NK-01, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes: experience in administrative support programs such as cybersecurity Liaison (CL), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel Systems (DTS) administrator, drug demand reduction program, Automated Data Processing Equipment (APDE) accounts, security program, supply program, civilian timecard program, and unit recognition program; AND experience assisting/supporting on military and civilian personnel issues and manpower resource requirements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Specialized experience directly related to the work of the position as described above may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of 60 semester hours above high-school level may be used to qualify applicants for the NK-02 level. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. NOTE: percentages of education requirements and specialized experience requirements must add up to a minimum of 100% to meet the basic qualification requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and posses the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information This is an acquisition demonstration project position NK-2 equivalent to a GS-5 to GS-7. Hill Air Force Base provides worldwide engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the Minuteman III ICBM, and performs depot maintenance of the F-16, A-10, and C-130 Hercules aircraft. The base is located between Ogden and Salt Lake City.
