JOB TITLE: 

Office Associate - Ross Hall Shared Staff Center

JOB PURPOSE:  

Perform advanced office and administrative/management support tasks for Communication and Journalism, American Cultural Studies, Philosophy and Religion, and Anthropology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform administrative tasks and projects. Analyze, process and maintain information as required. * Assist supervisor by researching problems and providing resolution(s) as directed. * Perform bookkeeping duties, organize data and oversee office functions as required. * Prepare complex reports regarding personnel staffing and budgetary requests for personnel, supplies and equipment; perform associated analysis and interpretations. * May perform a variety of marketing, public relations, and special event projects and tasks. * Provide training regarding department and University procedures; may provide computer application(s)/procedures training.

• Some positions may perform student academic advising.
• Perform special projects, as directed.
• May guide or supervise other office staff as required.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

* May assist with departmental budget planning process including research and provide/prepare financial reports. * Assist with revision of forms and office procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 2 years progressively responsible work-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Associate’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with electronic and paper record keeping Experience in an office or customer service role Experience with student information software systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
