Volt is immediately hiring an Instrumentation Technician in San Diego, CA.

As an Instrumentation Technician, you will:

• Work closely with engineering and test teams to prepare, install, operate, and remove instrumentation used in engine and rig testing.
• Installing and removing instrumentation on engines and test components.
• Installing thermocouples, pressure taps, thermal crystals, and strain gages used to evaluate the performance and durability of engines and components under test.
• Supporting modal bench tests and high cycle fatigue testing that assist Engineering in the development and validation of product designs.
• Performing detailed work on small and sensitive components with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Collaborating effectively with team members and communicating clearly in a fast-paced technical environment.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity!

Schedule: Flexible Hours. Monday to Friday 6am - 2:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm or 8am - 5pm

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good communication skills
• Experience Installing Instrumentation and routing (Pressures and TC's)
• Experience with thermal Crystal Installation and Removal
• Experience Installing Strain Gages
• Experience using complex data acquisition systems
• Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check and drug screen

Pay Rate*: $24.00 – $38.00 per hour DOE

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
