About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required - Previous travel experience required License: - Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - PALS Must-Have: - Circulating experience in the operating room - Ability to work with general surgery and emergency procedures Description: The position involves working as an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The candidate must have circulating experience. The role includes participating in a rotating call schedule. Call responsibilities will only encompass general surgeries and emergency cesarean sections. Consideration will be given to both 4x10 and 5x8 hour shifts. Experience with surgical procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and cesarean sections is essential. Candidates should be familiar with the use of surgical systems and various medical equipment. The daily census is expected to be 4 patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The role requires adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards. The candidate must be well-versed in universal protocol and specimen handling. Available shifts will focus on providing care to adolescents, adults, and pediatric patients.
