Internship

Internship Program Grossman Therapy provides community-based, quality counseling services for children, youth, adults and families in the state of Arizona, primarily in Maricopa, Pinal, Pima, Cochise, and Gila counties. Grossman and Grossman, Ltd. first began in 1984, and provides counseling that addresses issues of trauma and victimization, builds self-regulation skills and develops positive coping strategies for anger, impulse control, depression, anxiety and stress, conflict resolution and general self-management. Our interventions are strength-based, build on the client's capacities, are solution focused and consider the unique needs of each client and their families/caretakers. We work closely with case managers as needed, to keep all parties informed and working as a team for the success and the progress of the client. Applicant must be enrolled in a Master's degree program in counseling. Please note if you are bilingual and what languages you speak. We are looking for individuals willing to co-facilitate sessions with clients in a trauma informed care setting. Duties include: Complete agency orientation regarding the electronic medical records program Review agency assessments Complete zoom intakes with prospective clients, completing necessary paperwork in detail and with signatures Complete a weekly calendar of appointments and administrative time on EMRBear Follow up with clients on the waiting list, completing contact logs or case management case notes Shadow and/or co-facilitate individual and/or family counseling with an agency therapist Maintain and review case notes for each session with the agency therapist Complete supervision logs for signature Attend scheduled weekly supervision and training sessions Maintain a current fingerprint clearance card Submit a signed and notarized background criminal affidavit Provide a copy of master's program transcripts Required qualifications include active enrollment in an accredited Master's level program and placement by that school to participate in a clinical education experience.
