Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Payroll & Benefits SpecialistNextStep Recruiting is partnering with a confidential client to identify a Payroll & Benefits Specialist for its Dallas office. This role will focus primarily on payroll processing and administration while also supporting benefits, employee onboarding, and other HR initiatives. The ideal candidate brings hands-on ADP experience, a strong understanding of multi-state payroll, and the flexibility to take on additional HR responsibilities in a growing organization.ResponsibilitiesManage bi-weekly, multi-state payroll processing, including employee updates, payroll adjustments, reconciliations, and complianceMaintain employee records and support onboarding, payroll changes, and system administration within ADPAssist with benefits enrollment, employee life event changes, and ongoing benefits administrationSupport payroll and HR process improvements, system implementations, compensation analysis, and pay band developmentPartner with HR and Accounting on reporting, employee inquiries, and additional HR projects as neededRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field required3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processingStrong ADP experience required; ADP certification highly preferredCPP or equivalent payroll certification required, or willingness to obtain certification within the first year of employmentStrong Excel skills, attention to detail, and willingness to support broader HR functions; Canadian payroll experience preferredNextStep Recruiting provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics or sexual orientation.
