We strive to be the leading company in adventure recreation and retailing, by building a reputation for fun, and excellence through dedication to customer service, quality, safety, and value.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and dutiesAssist with Employee Housing - Conduct weekly/bi-weekly house inspections and other tasks such as replenishing household stock for the beginning of the season arrivalsProvide support to Human Resources DepartmentPerform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenanceFilter Human Resource department phone callsAssist with J1 Visa Program and Internship programAssist with Recruiting: Assist in screening forms and resumes of applicants.Plan and schedule interviews with candidatesPerform reference and background checksAssist with employee on-boarding - Creating new personnel files and other tasksAssist with bi-weekly New employee orientation: Send emails to participantsPrepare materials for orientationCoordinate pickups and drops off for international studentsCoordinate activitiesConduct research for projects and as requestedAssist with policy and legal research and recommendations.Projects to include: Creating interview guides, Employee Files Organization, job descriptions, help develop company surveys, KHK Training programs and site.Assist other departments as needed when assignedAll other duties as assignedEducation, & ExperienceCurrent enrollment in a college program focusing on Human Resources, Business Management or related field0 – 2 years of related HR experience, customer service experience, communications, social media, or office experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Office suite, Advanced in ExcelSkillsMust be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely mannerMust be able to handle multiple tasksMust possess strong interpersonal skillsMust be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees,Must be able to effectively read and interpret informationMust be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficientlyMust be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for qualityMust be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedbackMust maintain confidentiality in all mattersWorking ConditionsThe work environment for this position is generally an indoor controlled environment. Noise level is moderate; expect noises like office machines and light traffic.May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company's in-season time period.May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locations.Physical RequirementsAbout 1/3 of one's time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. 1/3 to 2/3 of one's time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Expect to lift up to 25 lbs. Some other physical demands come from continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work.
