A Chicago-based litigation practice is seeking an attorney to join its Construction and Design Professional Liability practice. Candidates with 5+ years of experience are preferred, although attorneys with approximately 3+ years of highly relevant experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Handle construction litigation and professional liability defense matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and written analysis.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Communicate directly with clients and assist with litigation strategy.
Qualifications
- Construction litigation experience required.
- Professional liability defense experience involving architects and engineers preferred.
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- An active Illinois law license and good standing are required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $115,000–$190,000.
