OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Lake Charles, LA by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Join HMD's national OTR fleet based in Lake Charles, LA, running solo dry van freight coast-to-coast. You’ll drive late-model tractors (under three years) equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers, backed by reliable in-house maintenance. Routes average about 2,500 miles weekly with pay starting at 65¢ per mile and additional bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections and referrals.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely transport dry van loads nationwide and comply with DOT regulations.
• Complete accurate logbooks, pre/post-trip inspections and routine vehicle care.
• Coordinate with dispatch to meet schedules and customer requirements.

Requirements: valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable driving experience. Home every two weeks, plus full benefits and a driver-focused culture.
