Assistant Store Manager

$15 - $22 per hour

Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Job Summary The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. The role will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals and providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize external purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases, ensuring they are handled efficiently according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately, issue refunds using correct payment methods, and handle returned merchandise in the returns area. Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker merchandising tasks, and complete assigned merchandising duties. Ensure compliance with company policies regarding posted work schedule, mandatory approvals, and clock-in/out obligations. Perform store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, shutting down lights, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional certification; ASE Certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits Competitive wages and paid time off.
