Job Title: Quality Assurance Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current license to practice in Arizona as a Registered Nurse Certifications: Infection Preventionist Certification required Must-Have: Valid AZ Driver's License required Description: Schedule: The team is flexible on the schedule. Options include 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 8am-5pm. Work is scheduled for 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Varied weekends may be required. This position covers Quality Assurance, Staff Education, and Infection Prevention. Implements policies and procedures pertaining to quality assurance using applicable guidelines. Gathers and analyzes data through audits, interviews, and other activities. Monitors compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. Reviews monthly reports and develops Performance Improvement Plans as needed. Prepares and interprets reports, statistical analyses, and data summaries for facility staff. Assists in developing and implementing corrective action plans. Monitors plans for correcting deficiencies identified by surveying agencies. Ensures the facility meets state, federal, and regulatory requirements. Investigates incidents of non-compliance. Coordinates preparation for regulatory surveys. Chairs and coordinates internal Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committee meetings. Identifies training needs and develops educational programs for staff. Utilizes assessment to evaluate training quality and ensure staff are adequately trained. Maintains records documenting training and compliance. Coordinates provision of information for regulatory surveyors. Conducts daily rounds for infection control surveillance. Confirms compliance with individual care plans for residents with infections. Keeps abreast of current information and attends educational opportunities. Knowledge of management principles and quality assurance standards is essential. Skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking are required. Ability to analyze and interpret information and work with all levels of the organization. Developing and coordinating training programs is part of the role.
