Machinist (2nd Shift)

CNC MachinistWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and setting up CNC mills (vertical, horizontal, 5-axis) and lathes, with a deep understanding of precision machining and quality standards, on 2nd shift.Responsibilities:Operate and set up CNC mills (vertical, horizontal, 5-axis) and CNC lathes.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.Measure, mark, and verify dimensions of finished parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, and feeds/speeds to optimize accuracy and efficiency.Maintain equipment in proper working order and ensure a clean, organized work environment.Record production data, job progress, and inspection results accurately.Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and inspectors to resolve machining or design issues.Safely lift and move materials as required.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience in aerospace manufacturing or a related industry.Familiarity with inspection processes and basic quality standards.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Commitment to safety protocols and workplace cleanliness.Effective team player with the ability to work independently when needed.Overtime may be required, including weekends.
