Job Description

The Neurodiagnostic Technician assists in complex Neurodiagnostic procedures of the central and peripheral nervous system for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neurological diseases. This role requires adherence to industry, Federal, State, TJC, NAEC, and Laboratory Accreditation Board's standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Neurodiagnostic examinations, including EEGs, Long Term Monitoring of Epilepsy, Evoked Potentials, and Nerve Conduction Studies.
• Prepare technical histories and select appropriate test protocols for patients.
• Review Neurodiagnostic studies for electrode integrity, technique, and patient safety.
• Participate in educational sessions for staff, students, and physicians.
• Maintain and manage Neurodiagnostic exam records and patient files.
• Train in new Neurodiagnostic studies as introduced to the service product line.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T) from accredited organizations.
• American Heart Association CPR certification required within 60 days of employment.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in Neurodiagnostics; three years of recent hospital/neurology experience preferred.
