ECE Paraeducator (EHS) – 7 hrs/day (Oakdale/PC#250598) Position Summary: Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre‑school aged children in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre‑kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play‑oriented curriculum. Salary placement is based on relevant experience. Education and Experience Requirements for ECE Paraeducator positions under the Federal Head Start Program; High School Diploma or equivalent and a California Associate Teacher Permit (Referred by Federal head Start as “Child Development Associate Credential”) or Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Licenses and Certifications May require: a valid driver’s license. Certificate or permit required: as defined in the Child Development Permit Matrix established through the California Department of Education. CPR/First Aid: certificate with pediatric endorsement.
