Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) AVIR at Alice 800 Coyote Trail, Alice, TX 78333 Make a Difference in the Lives of Our Residents! AVIR at Alice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working directly with residents and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help residents improve functional independence, participate in daily activities, and achieve their individual goals. Position Responsibilities Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Assist residents with therapeutic activities designed to improve strength, coordination, mobility, balance, ADLs, and functional independence. Provide training and education to residents and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, safety, adaptive strategies, and home exercise programs. Monitor residents' responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes in functional status to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Document treatment sessions, resident progress, and other required information accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with OTs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Follow established treatment plans and modify interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations and professional standards. Promote a compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered approach to care. Qualifications Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification in good standing. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred. Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
