Toxicology Laboratory Assistant

Labcorp seeks a laboratory assistant for its Phoenix facility to receive, prepare, and process clinical specimens on a second shift schedule. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, equipment maintenance, and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
- Monitor lab equipment functionality and conduct routine maintenance
- Maintain clean, safe work environment and restock supplies as needed
- Complete administrative records and troubleshoot specimen-related issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfort handling biological specimens and ability to identify them accurately
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to work extended periods sitting or standing in fast-paced environment
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Preferred: 1+ years healthcare, laboratory, or manufacturing production experience
