Travel Physical Therapist - Rehab

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with inpatient rehabilitation experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

Job Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital with 50 beds dedicated to the treatment and recovery of patients with severe injuries or illnesses,
• Patients include adults recovering from stroke, TBI, SCI, neurological conditions, trauma, amputation, and orthopedic injuries,
• Patient ratio of 1:5-7 depending on acuity,
• Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday (altered work week),
• No call or float requirements,
• EMR: Cerner,
• On-site equipment includes Smart Car, Vector, Lite Gait, Senaptec, a dedicated TBI gym, transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, and EKSO (available in September),

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of physical therapy experience required,
• DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree required,
• AHA certifications required,
• Experience in acute, subacute, SNF, or inpatient rehabilitation preferred,
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months,
• Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere,
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Treatment focus areas include neuro, ortho, TBI, SCI, and cardiopulmonary diagnoses,
• Experience with functional interventions and group/concurrent therapy modes is preferred,
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a patient-first attitude are highly valued,
• Green scrubs required
