Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Princeton, NJ

Work Model: Onsite

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, 1st shift

Compensation: $26.00 - $30.00/hr

Type: ~2-month contract

Responsibilities

• Conduct Gemba walks throughout the production process to verify that fragrance batches meet specifications. This includes testing at various production stages (e.g., during mixing, before packing, HACCP).

• Support nonconformance investigations (Z3, Z1, Z5).

• Monitor overdue actions in the IMS and support document management control.

• Review documentation, analytical data, product specifications, and process changes/deviations before product release to ensure compliance with defined specifications. This includes addressing and resolving any concerns or discrepancies.

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product quality, trends, and challenges related to fragrance production.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, working collaboratively with operational units to ensure compliance and conduct comprehensive evaluations for investigations and process enhancements.

• Support the 5S program within the plant.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field

• Mandatory Minimum 2 years in quality assurance, preferably in fragrance, food, or chemical industries

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and HACCP and GMP standards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality systems (e.g., SAP, LIMS)

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset

• Effective communication skills
