Diagnostic Support Specialist #26302

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a Diagnostic Support Specialist to provide expert assistance for dealership technicians using OEM diagnostic tools and software. This role focuses on supporting field technicians through phone-based troubleshooting, issue escalation, and written documentation related to diagnostic platforms and vehicle system interfaces. Key Responsibilities: Phone-Based Technical Support Provide professional, phone-based technical support for OEM diagnostic tools and associated software platforms. Assist dealership technicians in resolving diagnostic and programming concerns. Escalate hardware or vehicle-related issues to the appropriate internal or external teams. Support aftermarket diagnostic tools and pass-through programming efforts. Maintain and improve diagnostic tool FAQs and technical guidance materials. Log and manage support interactions through a ticketing or CRM platform. Diagnostic Feedback & Issue Resolution Investigate field and dealership feedback reports related to tool or software performance. Perform root cause analysis on diagnostic issues and test plan failures. Gather and analyze diagnostic data from internal systems to aid in issue prioritization. Collaborate with field techs and dealership partners to gather feedback for continuous improvement. Technical Communications Contribute to the development of internal and dealer-facing documentation. Author or review technical publications, FAQs, error code libraries, and quick-reference materials. Requirements: Required Strong background in diagnostic support or serviceability within the automotive industry. Familiarity with OEM diagnostic platforms (e.g., ODIS, Wi-Tech, VAS) or similar tools. Excellent communication and professional phone support skills. Experience with root cause analysis and identifying software/hardware-related issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Strong technical writing/editing abilities for technician and dealership audiences. Ability to work independently as well as part of cross-functional and international teams. Preferred Experience with OEM diagnostic systems or aftermarket diagnostic support tools. Prior exposure to tele-diagnosis or remote vehicle support workflows. Knowledge of automotive after-sales or technical warranty processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr Blue Chip Talent
