Lamar, Austin Texas 78756 Building: Heart Hospital Floor: 1-3 Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 76268 Discipline: PT Quantity:1 Target Start Date:3/31/24 Shift: 7:30am to 4pm Call Requirements none Weekends: rotating every 3 to 4 weekends General Information Tell us about the unit(s): \n \n Number of Beds -72\n Number of Staff – 2 PT, 1 OT, PRN ST\n Type of staff: \n \n Day Shift – ( example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters)\n Night Shift -\n \n Patient Ratios –\n Type of equipment -\n EMR –Meditech\n Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) –Y, 1 FT PT\n Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) \n \n Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. \n \n Acute care experience including ICU/CCU as may be the only PT on weekends\n \n Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. \n \n Wound care—preferred but not necessary\n \n List typical procedures performed on unit(s): \n \n Open heart/TAVR/LVAD implants\n \n Best personality Fit: \n \n Respectful of manager, patients, staff; attention to safety, friendly/caring; manages time/attendance independently\n Able to participate in high level of coordination and communication throughout day\n Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. \n \n Scrub Color - carribean blue or khaki bottom/navy polo\n \n Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.\n \n \n Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc. \n \n Hospital has won multiple local and national recognitions 2023/2024\n \n Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent . \n \n Being a small hospital, communication is very good between providers and therapy and it is easy to get assistance with patient or staff needs; it is a very supportive environment. We use imobile to communicate with each other and with the hospitalists, case managers, RN's. The 2 staff PT's have 15 and 30 years of experience and one is a certified wound care therapist.
