Click here to learn more. Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the system level design of the ACS (Air-Conditioning Service) products. This will include the high level design documentation for electro-mechanical systems and components, including interactions between the software, hardware, and mechanical components, such as motors, sensors, switches, and controls. The candidate will work closely with a cross functional team to deliver products on-time, on-spec, and on-budget. To be successful, the candidate must be innovative, creative, detail oriented, comfortable working from a vision, and comfortable working in a fast-pace environment while handling multiple projects simultaneouslyPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)Conceptualize and document system level architecture design of the AC service products.Create system level design documentation.Coordinate testing and documentation required to achieve and maintain product certifications (UL, CE, etc.)Create test plans and reports to validate design concepts.Troubleshoot problems to assist with manufacturing or reduce warranty costs.Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative, accurate, detailed, and professional.Perform design analysis and FMEA‘s on system designs to assure form, fit, function, and safety.Maintain project documentation, i.e. design reviews, FMEAs, design specifications, wiring diagrams, test plans, etc.Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with the Customer, Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.Takes full responsibility for providing the customer (internal and external) with service and products (documentation, prototypes, etc.) that exceed customer’s expectations.QualificationsFour year Engineering degree, BSEE preferred3+ years related experience preferred.Proven design skills, utilizing knowledge of similar product.Proficiency in PC skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, etc), CAD experience (Solidworks) preferred, Labview preferred.Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment. Experience working with global/international teams also highly desirable.Previous experience with product certifications (UL) preferred.Good oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skillsProven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and recordsAbility to work well with challenging individuals and customersIndefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
