HVAC Technician

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems across district facilities. Support reliable operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related control systems. Lead or assist other craftsmen on HVAC related work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned

• Plan and organize daily HVAC workload.
• Inspect, diagnose, and complete assigned HVAC work orders.
• Gather required parts, tools, and materials for jobs.
• Support projects led by other craftsmen when HVAC work is required.
• Monitor HVAC-related backlog.
• Operate and support the district Energy Management System (EMS).
• Drive a district vehicle to job sites and facilities.
• Maintain equipment and tools used in HVAC service work.
• Follow district safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience (Required and Preferred)

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Refrigerant handling certification.
• Commercial experience in the HVAC field
• Previous HVAC experience in a school district or similar facility environment.

• Ability to travel between district sites using a personal or district vehicle.
