Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Social Worker in this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand each student's mental health history, challenges, and treatment objectives.
• Providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and narrative therapy.
• Creating and implementing customized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and collaborative input from students and their families.
• Facilitating regular progress evaluations to adapt therapy methods as needed and to measure the effectiveness of interventions.
• Upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards in the practice of social work.
• Participating in continued professional development initiatives to stay informed about emerging best practices in mental health.
• Fostering therapeutic alliances that enable trust and encourage students to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Providing actionable support and strategic advice to help students confront academic and personal challenges actively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students in K-12 settings who may be facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, social difficulties, and behavioral challenges. You will also engage with their families, aiming to create holistic support systems that address both individual and relational needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably within educational or private practice settings.
• Strong clinical competencies in assessment, treatment planning, and therapy implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, approachable demeanor.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with experience in school-based settings or those familiar with the complexities of child development and family dynamics will have an advantage. Familiarity with remote communication tools and teletherapy practices is also beneficial given the online nature of this role.

Compensation and Benefits
