General LaborerThe general laborer or ground hand is responsible for supporting the crews by performing work related to the installation, repair, or movement of telecommunications cable.Essential job functions include:Provide general labor skills including but not limited to shoveling, spinning a fiber reel, and pulling cableMaintain and promote a safe working environment for yourself and the other members of your teamAssist with traffic control and barriersDirect traffic flow in accordance with local DOT guidelinesManually rotating a reel containing fiber optic conduit or other materialAssist with work site preparations to include shoveling, raking etc.
