Role Description The Athletic Trainer role at BIOKINETIX is a full-time, on-site position based in Boydton, VA. This role involves delivering injury prevention and performance training programs to employee groups, using evidence-based athletic training and strength and conditioning methods. The Athletic Trainer will conduct movement assessments, identify risk factors, and implement corrective exercise and conditioning plans tailored to job demands. Daily responsibilities include leading group training sessions, providing individual coaching, documenting program participation and outcomes, and collaborating with client management on safety and wellness initiatives. The role also includes educating employees on proper body mechanics, ergonomics, and recovery strategies to reduce workplace injuries and support overall health. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention, with the ability to apply these principles in industrial and workplace settings. Candidates should possess skills in Athletic Training and Rehabilitation, including assessment, program design, and safe progression of exercises. Candidates should possess skills in Strength & Conditioning, with experience in functional training and job-specific physical preparation. Certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or related credential; state licensure as required. Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field. Ability to lead group training sessions, communicate clearly, and adapt instruction for diverse populations. Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills. Comfort working on-site in industrial or commercial environments and collaborating with safety, HR, and management teams.
