Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Eastern

Pay range: $17.20 - $21 / hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

• Research, obtains and enters missing information/demographics for completion of accessions.
• Conducts data entry for completion of accessions.
• Demonstrates competency in eligibility, billing and receivable systems and associated applications.
• Informs customers of billing problems/issue findings and resolutions as appropriate.
• Handles sensitive client and patient interactions.
• Maintains timely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions.
• Reports problems, and errors to management including PHI breaches.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Meets the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, accuracy, quality, patient and client satisfaction and attendance.
• Other duties and tasks as required/cross functional training.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma; GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of Billing Knowledge, Billing Data Entry, Strong Customer Service Skills, and Insurance Payor Knowledge
• Demonstrated ability in using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills, troubleshooting issues and learning new computer programs.
• Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards at all times.
• Meet or exceed daily production standards.
• Meet or exceed daily quality standards.
• Consistent attendance with ability to meet work schedule including the required training period.
• Successful completion of the new hire training and demonstrated proficiency required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some college preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Ability to type and maintain a keying average of 60 WPM.
• Understands multiple billing requirements across varies payers and states.
• Ability to work overtime as needed based on departmental needs.

• Ability to work well with a fast-paced team and environment.
• Ability to adapt to changes.
• Ability to have Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task.
