An established company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting. This role will oversee the integrity of financial records, monthly and year-end close, internal controls, cash management, AP/AR, audit support, tax coordination, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, cash, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany activity

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Manage reconciliations, account analysis, and variance reporting

Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Oversee inventory accounting, costing, reserves, and physical inventory processes

Partner with operations on manufacturing cost analysis, margins, and inventory controls

Monitor cash activity, receivables, collections, vendor payments, and approval controls

Coordinate annual audit activities and support tax compliance requirements

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting

Lead process improvements, system enhancements, and automation efforts

Mentor and develop accounting staff

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

7+ years of progressive accounting experience

Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience

Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience strongly preferred

Strong U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, audit, and internal controls knowledge

ERP experience and advanced Excel skills required

• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 or more years serving in a Controller capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated background in manufacturing accounting with strong knowledge of cost and managerial accounting principles.
• Proven experience handling intercompany reconciliations and working across two charts of accounts simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting.
• Experience supporting consolidated financial statements in a multi-entity environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, including SAP or comparable accounting platforms.
• Ability to work onsite on a permanent basis in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
