Physical Therapist Assistant

To assist the Physical Therapist in administering physical therapy treatments to established standards of physical therapy, physician’s referral, and physical therapy plan of care. Primary Position Responsibilities

• Performs and modifies or updates patient treatment programs with Physical Therapist direction to maximize patient outcomes.
• Documents information to assure continuity of care and maximize reimbursement.
• Maintains schedule to attain productivity standards.
• Maintains familiarity with duties of and provides supervision to PTA students, various levels of support personnel, and volunteers.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Required: Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: None

License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current New Jersey license as PTA. Graduate of certified PTA program.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: None
