Job Overview Mercor is working with a leading AI research lab to improve the capabilities of next‑generation AI systems. We are seeking experienced Coding Managers and HIM Coding leaders to evaluate AI‑powered coding solutions, provide guidance on coding compliance, and oversee coding teams. Responsibilities • Evaluate and validate AI‑generated coding outputs for accuracy and compliance. • Lead a team of medical coders, ensuring high-quality, timely coding of patient records. • Collaborate with clinical, billing, and IT stakeholders to streamline coding workflows and adopt new technologies. • Conduct training and professional development sessions on coding rules, updates in regulations, and best practices. • Prepare and present reports on coding performance, audit findings, and opportunities for process improvement. Qualifications 1+ year of outpatient clinic coding experience, or equivalent experience in a clinical setting. Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program, or equivalent educational background. Certified BLS (AHA or ARC only) or equivalent certification. High‑school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
