Registered Nurse

The position requires a registered nurse to work in a medical surgical float unit. The nurse will provide care for a combination of surgical and medical patients. The nurse will work night shifts every other weekend. Doctors' orders including titration of drips are not required at this time. There is a nurse aid support with a ratio of 1:15. There will be monitoring techs available for telemetry. This position requires participation in call or standby as needed. The dress code is any color of scrubs. Unit-specific orientation will be provided. Floating to other areas may be required. The cancellation policy allows for a set number of shifts per contract length.

Experience with surgical patients (total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general). Experience with medical patients (CHF, CVA, SOB, diabetic issues). Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment. Ability to read cardiac strips.
