Senior Infusion RN - INFUSION WEST

Job Summary Senior Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – INFUSION WEST at Providence Health and Services. The Senior Infusion RN specializes in oncology and infusion therapies, including chemotherapy administration, pain management, and venous access device care. This role involves direct patient care, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and mentoring infusion nursing staff. The position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership in education and training, and upholding high standards in patient‑focused care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for oncology and infusion patients, administering chemotherapy and infusion therapies. Manage venous access devices, including port‑a‑caths, and monitor infusion therapy and blood product administration. Apply the nursing process to assess patients and intervene based on findings. Coordinate interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Mentor and support other infusion RNs, including orientation, training, and education of clinic personnel. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited registered nursing school; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a registered nurse. Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire and National Registered Nurse Compact License upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the state(s) of hire and where care is delivered. Oncology Nurse certification (OCN) or other national infusion certification upon hire. Minimum of 3 years’ infusion nursing experience. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years’ ambulatory nursing experience.
