Cord Blood Collections Manager

Description Would you enjoy leading a growing healthcare program focused on donor recruitment, hospital partnerships, and community outreach? LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Cord Blood Collections Manager in Gainesville, FL. This position oversees cord blood collection operations, staff leadership, hospital relationships, and outreach initiatives supporting the LifeSouth Cellular Therapies program. What You'll Do Oversee cord blood collection operations, recruitment efforts, and collection site performance Lead onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of collection staff Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physician offices, and community partners Monitor collection goals, operational metrics, and program growth initiatives Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation procedures Identify operational concerns and implement process improvements and corrective actions as needed Support donor recruitment efforts, outreach initiatives, presentations, and community events Assist with audits, inspections, reporting, and quality improvement activities Review operational reports, supply requests, inventory needs, and departmental documentation Collaborate with internal leadership teams to support the success of the Cellular Therapies program Represent LifeSouth and the Cord Blood Program in a professional and positive manner What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business or healthcare-related field; Master’s degree preferred Three years of management or supervisory experience required Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to build relationships with hospitals, physician offices, donors, and community partners Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities effectively Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications Valid driver’s license required and must meet LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements Previous sales, recruitment, outreach, and/or healthcare experience preferred Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and compliance standards preferred Our Benefits Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan Medical, dental and vision insurances available to full-time employees the first of the month after 60 days Access to mental wellness resources and counseling through telehealth Free basic life insurance for full-time employees Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer match each pay period Employer funded retirement plan for vested employees & 403b offered Access to wages prior to pay day This is a full-time position. Base starting salary range $64,000 - $70,400 per year. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
