Pharmacist in Fayetteville, NC

A night shift pharmacist opportunity is available at a 300-bed regional medical center located near Fayetteville, North Carolina. This role offers a contract position with an ASAP start date, lasting 13 weeks or more, with the potential to convert to temp-to-hire and a strong possibility of extension.


Schedule:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday through Wednesday cycle)

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations
• Consult and collaborate with physicians and nurses regarding patient medication plans
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems daily

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina pharmacist license required
• Solid inpatient pharmacy experience is essential, as you will be the sole pharmacist on duty
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work independently
• Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
