About This Role The Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Imaging is responsible for providing age-specific care to patients through assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of care plans. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and leadership within a healthcare team. Highlights Pay : $68,000 - $115,000/year Location : Islip, NY Facility : Northwell Health Schedule : Full-Time, Day shift What You’ll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments. Evaluate the patient’s psychosocial health status and identify cultural requirements. Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals. Formulate and document the plan of care, coordinating with healthcare team members. Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions and effective communication. Evaluate care provided and document effectiveness for performance improvement. Collaborate with care team members and assist during treatments and diagnostic procedures. Provide wound care and administer medications correctly and safely. Participate in patient and family education, ensuring understanding of conditions and care plans. Perform related duties as required. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within five years Experience Critical Care experience preferred Great IV skills preferred Licenses & Certifications Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required Specialized certifications as needed About Northwell Health Northwell Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
