• Current New Mexico controlled substance license required

• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certification required

• Experience with adult, pediatric, and trauma surgery required
• Comfort with laparoscopic surgery and GI endoscopy required
• Must be comfortable in a high-acuity surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage for emergency and inpatient needs
• Manage trauma-related surgical cases in a Level III trauma setting
• Perform laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty
• Complete upper and lower GI endoscopy procedures as needed
• Provide chest wall and pleural procedures, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion
• Support vascular access needs and PA catheter placement when indicated
• Deliver high-quality surgical care for adult and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient coverage
