Pueblo, CO - Locums Orthopedic Surgeon Availability

Start Date: July 24, 2026

Coverage Needed:

• July 24-27
• Ongoing sporadic coverage available
• Provider must be available for the listed coverage dates to be considered for future ongoing assignments

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Colorado Medical License or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - Required
• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery - Required
• ACLS - Highly Preferred
• BLS - Highly Preferred
• Active DEA - Required for Credentialing (Transferred DEA accepted if maintained for the duration of the assignment.)

Required Experience

• General Orthopedic Surgery
• Comfortable managing adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Available within 30 minutes while on call in accordance with Colorado Level III Trauma Center guidelines
• Perform procedures within the scope of a General Orthopedic Surgeon
• Average 2-5 admissions per day

Schedule

• 24-hour Call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)
• Trauma Call Coverage
• Required Response Time: Within 30 minutes

Practice Details

• Trauma Level III
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Population: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
• Support Staff: None

EMR & Credentialing Requirements

• Credentialing application must be completed to initiate EMR account setup.
• EMR modules must be completed before virtual training.
• Virtual EMR training is required at least one week before the first scheduled shift.
• Completion of all EMR training is required before first-day details are released.
