To learn more about USC benefits, access the "Working at USC" section on the Applicant Portal at Position Description Advertised Job Summary The postdoc candidate is expected to perform research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator in the DDBS department within the College of Pharmacy.. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for the following duties: Design and synthesize potential bioactive compounds Develop synthetic methodology for the synthesis of compounds of interest Characterize compounds synthesized Conduct lab experiments, collect and analyze data, and report experimental data Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students lab techniques Ensure all tasks are accomplished on time and to the highest standard Engage in shared lab duties including maintenance of instruments and apparatus, lab safety and lab cleaning Prepare weekly progress reports and attend in weekly group meetings This is a temporary position health insurance benefits will be provided however; no retirement benefits or annual/ sick will be provided.
