Clinician–Research Associate TrueNorth Health Foundation The TrueNorth Health Foundation is looking for a Clinician–Research Associate to join our residential clinical program in medically supervised prolonged water-only fasting and whole-plant-food, SOS‑free refeeding. This role is designed for a clinician — or clinician‑in‑training — with at least a year of research experience who wants genuine mentorship in fasting and refeeding medicine alongside the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects that document, curate, and advance the clinical science of fasting. Key Responsibilities Clinical training Participate in daily patient monitoring and documentation workflows under senior clinician supervision Case reports Identify novel cases with attending clinicians Coordinate with patients and clinicians to confirm timelines, fill gaps, and support follow‑up Extract and organize case data — history, clinical course, vitals, labs, medications, adverse events, outcomes — into a structured case file Research the relevant condition and fasting/refeeding literature to contextualize each case Draft first versions of case reports for internal review and peer‑reviewed submission, CARE‑guidelines aligned Help maintain the Foundation's fasting literature database, Review and improve existing records: fix metadata, attach PDFs, standardize tagging by condition, protocol, duration, outcomes, and adverse events Add new publications with brief structured annotations covering study design, population, protocol, key findings, and limitations Systems and workflow Collaborate with the research team to define and apply consistent database standards: required fields, controlled vocabulary, PDF naming and storage Build and maintain a case report pipeline: nomination criteria, tracking system, data‑extraction template, follow‑up checklist, and internal review steps Qualifications Required Clinician (MD/DO/ND/PA/NP/RN/DC) or enrolled in a clinical degree program 1–2 years of research experience — clinical, thesis, academic lab, or equivalent Strong writing skills and a careful, methodical approach to clinical records and data abstraction Able to work on‑site in a residential clinical environment Preferred Experience with case reports, chart reviews, or manuscript drafting Literature searching, evidence synthesis, or reference management (Zotero, EndNote) A demonstrated interest in nutritional medicine Location: TrueNorth Health Center, Santa Rosa, CA.
