Job Description

Avets Specialty & Emergency Trauma Center is seeking a board-certified veterinary surgeon to join our collaborative specialty and emergency team in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, just outside Pittsburgh.


Avets is a VECCS Level I facility offering 24/7 emergency care and specialty services in avian and exotic medicine, critical care, internal medicine, medical oncology, neurology and neurosurgery, and surgery. Our multidisciplinary approach encourages collaboration across services, allowing our doctors to provide advanced, individualized care to pets throughout Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding tri-state region.


Our purpose-built, 19,000-square-foot hospital provides the technology and resources needed to manage complex surgical cases, including four advanced surgical suites, a 16-slice CT scanner, 1.5 Tesla MRI, a dedicated critical care unit, endoscopy equipment, and advanced ultrasound capabilities.
