Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting, requiring an Alabama PT License (or pending) and BLS certification.

Job Details

• Hospital outpatient physical therapy setting with possible floating to inpatient as needed,
• Schedule is Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM,
• 8-week assignment length with day shift hours,
• Treats patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations,

Job Requirements

• Alabama PT License required (license required if applicable; pending license accepted),
• Current BLS certification required,
• Ability to evaluate patients and design individualized treatment plans with measurable, functional goals,
• Ability to supervise LPTAs and PT Technicians,
• Ability to coordinate care with other departments and external agencies,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, care coordination, documentation, and patient/staff education,
• Regularly reevaluates patients and adjusts care plans as needed,
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and work area organization,
• Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 7 days during the assignment,
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position,
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted, though at a lower pay rate,
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
