JOB TITLE:Pharmacist

STATUS: Regular Part-Time

Ultimately, as a licensed Pharmacist, you will play an important role on the Pharmacy Team developing patient relationships and providing best patient care practices as a trusted mentor, educator, and researcher in a safe and therapeutic healthcare environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:(Job Description Available Upon Demand)

• Supports and implements the practice mission and strategic vision within their respective departments.
• Handles confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity, and security policies.

• Reviews prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
• Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
• Consults patients, answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Enters data such as patient name, prescribedmedication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
• Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
• Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain all pharmacy records required by the state, federal, and company mandated.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree Required | Current Nebraska Pharmacy License (State Registry In Good Standing) Required | Successful Completion of An Accredited Pharmacy Educational Institution Required | No Record of Alcohol, Drug-Related Misdemeanor or Felony Conviction |No Medicare or Medicaid Restrictions or Sanctions | Medical Terminology| Familiar With Pharmacy Software & EMR Systems | Familiar With Microsoft Platforms & Data Entry | Insurance Experience

EXPERIENCE: One-Year Direct Pharmacist Experience In High-Volume Setting Preferred
