Accounting Clerk In Accounts ReceivableThis is a full time in-office clerical role based in our Eden Prairie, Minnesota location. Please apply only if you are able to commute daily to this location.Mission of the Role As Hartfiel's Accounting Clerk in Accounts Receivable, you will play an important part in keeping our financial processes running smoothly. Your day-to-day work will include organizing and processing documents like invoices and payments, verifying transaction details, and keeping our receivables records accurate and up to date. You will also help prepare customer invoices and maintain the data that supports our accounting operations. In this role, your attention to detail and consistency will help ensure our customers and internal teams have the information they need.Education/Experience The ideal candidate for this job will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures. One year (or more) of accounting experience and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred. Since most of our work is electronic, familiarity with accounting software and strong computer skills are important. Great communication, problem-solving abilities, organization, and accuracy will help you thrive here. We also value a mindset focused on improvement and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesAudit supplier invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and enter information promptly to ensure discounts are received.Prepare and process daily cash and credit card deposits; maintain the cash journal and related spreadsheets.Research and resolve customer product returns while working directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams.Assist employees, suppliers, and customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.Enter financial data into our systems following company procedures.Review and balance computer reports, interpreting results and making corrections as needed.Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities, including the annual audit.Provide backup support to other accounting team members when needed.Support special projects as assigned; perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.Follow all quality processes and procedures established by Hartfiel Automation.The position involves regular computer work and may require occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.What We OfferMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance401k MatchTuition ReimbursementGenerous PTOAnd more!8:00 am to 5:00 pm
