Forklift Operator

Abacus Staffing is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators for multiple warehouse and distribution facilities throughout Central New Jersey. We are looking for candidates with experience operating warehouse equipment in fast-paced distribution, logistics, and manufacturing environments.

Qualified candidates should be experienced operating one or more of the following:

Reach Truck
Cherry Picker / Order Picker
Sit-Down Forklift
Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)

Responsibilities:

Safely operate material handling equipment to move products and materials throughout the warehouse
Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately
Perform put-away, replenishment, and inventory movement tasks
Pick orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
Transport products to designated storage and staging locations
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
Verify product counts, labels, and locations for accuracy
Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

Previous forklift operating experience required
Experience operating Reach Truck, Cherry Picker/Order Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, and/or Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)
Forklift certification preferred (may be required by specific client assignments)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the shift
Experience with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Reliable transportation to assigned work location
Must be authorized to work in the United States
